Wednesday Stuff
Couple of things for Wednesday. Firstly, hat tip to Donna for letting us know about the Glambert performance on Ellen yesterday! I have video to share, because I love this song, Strut. Not a big fan of Whataya Want From Me, the last single, but I like almost everything else on the album, so YAY! He’s so pretty…and inspiring too, actually. He was apparently quite heavy in high school and got picked on all the time. The guy certainly turned into a swan after the fact! But I would guess that his previous struggles are one of the reasons he seems so sweet. I’m sad that he’s gay only because it’s such a loss for women everywhere! I suppose, with my love of guyliner-wearing men who fall somwehere in the Goth/Glam Rock part of the spectrum, I am doomed to drool over a lot of gay men. Oh well ![]()
Lemmee see, I found another thing that was entertaining as well. I’m totally dating myself, but I still love Pee Wee Herman. I miss his show (and if you’ve never seen the HBO special that started it all, you are missing out…it was NOT a kids’ show, just adult humor disguised as one, and OMG it was hysterical). And color me thrilled that the guy seems to be making a comeback! So I laughed my butt off when he appeared on Conan’s final show to explain the NBC mess. The guy still has it!
Hope you all enjoy your day! My mom’s coming to visit for a few, which is awesome, and yesterday I FINALLY got the dragon proposal to leave my desk for good. It kept returning to me with just a few small tweaks needed…sort of got to be The Thing That Wouldn’t Leave. BUT, it left, and is now on my editor’s desk, sooo…I will recommence finger crossing!! Now I can get back to my Dark Hunter book
Happy Wednesday!
Love it. Adam is just a real entertainer. He was really strutting all his stuff. YEAH!!! I’m glad you enjoyed it so much. And then we have PEE WEE Herman. TOO FUNNY!!!
Enjoy your time with your Mom.
And then, Yeah for getting that Dragon off your Back. I hope you’re enjoying Dark Hunters.
HAHAHA, My woodpecker is pecking on my window. Hi Little Peckerhead!!!
LOL Donna, that last line was too funny!!!!
Kendra, hope you and your Mom have a great time. enjoy your Dark Hunter time, I have almost all of them, in storage unfortunately, and I loved every one!
LMAO…I wonder if the woodpecker was pleased or insulted at that comment?
My stupid internet has been down most of the day. Glad I blogged early! I wish we’d get FIOS here, but so far, nope. The local cable/internet provider sucks.
Hi Jessica! Thanks, I’m looking forward to hanging out with her. My mom is pretty cool
I am definitely enjoying the book so far!
Hey Kendra, thanks for the clips. I ended up missing Ellen in the afternoon, so it was fun to see that. And PeeWee…geez, he looks the same. He sure is funny, and I’m glad to see him making a come back after his previous troubles!
Such a busy morning already. Hate Wednesdays sometimes. It’s early out for my kids and if I work lunch duty (like I do today) the day is pretty much wasted. I’m barely sneaking in this blog time before I have to leave, again. What I would give for a full week, in my house, alone to just catch up!
Have a great time with your mom! I’m glad Bane is off and I can’t wait to hear what your people think!
Hi Lisa! Yeah, I think Pee Wee has had some work done to retain his youthful appearance. The man is like 59. BUT, it’s good work, at least! I never understood why they made such a huge deal about the adult movie theater thing way back when. There are plenty who do worse and stick around.
Hope you get some down time later today! Also, LOL at my “people” looking at the manuscript…just because it makes me sound so much cooler than I actually am!
Ladies,
I have 3 sizes of woodpeckers.
The little Downy(Little peckerhead),Medium sized Hairy(Hairy peckerhead) Longest is the Pileated(Red Peckerhead) The little peckerhead pecks at the window. It’s almost like Morris Code. Tat to tat to tattattat.
Those are both very interesting videos. I’m amazed to see Pee Wee Herman. I haven’t seen him in ages.
Good luck with the rest of the proposal!
I got Larissa Ione’s new book Ecstasy Unveiled in today at work but I’m rereading Cheryl’s Slave book. And a customer bought a Shifter book that I thought was interesting. It’s called Pride Mates by Jennifer Ashley. So many books, so little time. XD
This is a super late post so happy Thursday now
Thanks for this, Kendra! I LOVE Adam! I went to L.A. where my daughter lives and watched him do rehearsals when he was on American Idol! So much fun!!! I was front row…right there staring at Adam as he belted out a song. Fun, fun!
